Women against the current! They assert themselves all over the world in various scenarios, whether it's on the snowy slopes of the Alps or on the streets of Iran. These films connect individual struggles with collective experiences and show how women reclaim their space in the world, confront their history, and stand up for their future. We witness (unwelcome) reunions, challenges, and truths that connect generations. In these narratives, we find not only conflict and confrontation but also the potential for understanding and reconciliation.

The other two films, on the other hand, emphasize the mystical atmosphere and the secrets hidden in the dense forests of the Oberpfalz region. All of these films were shot by filmmakers from the Oberpfalz region or within the district of Oberpfalz. They compete for the FFF (FilmFernsehFonds) sponsorship prize of 1,500 euros.
