For this year's edition of the dance films at the Regensburg Short Film Week, we have curated them for the first time in collaboration with Wagner Moreira, the dance director and chief choreographer of the Theater Regensburg. Together, we present seven short films that focus on the body and movement as a means of communication on one hand, while also highlighting (post-)pandemic influences on our perception of movement and space. Critically, questions regarding inclusion and trauma within the dance world are raised. From intimate interpersonal relationships to ensemble work in dance theater and experimental approaches from performance art, we are presented with a multifaceted program.
