In the 1930s, the Russian geologist Wernadski coined the term noosphere. According to the concept, the noosphere represents the third phase of the earth’s evolution. Analogous to the transformation of the inanimate to the animate through the biosphere, noosphere describes the impact of humans on the planet. The experimental short film takes up this idea in an abstract way.

A dadaistic mockumentary. Krefeld boy Anselm Kiessling recreates Joseph Beuys’ Drakeplatz stew and explains the swimming moose. He chats about personal encounters with moose in the wild, the K-Bahn in Krefeld, which brought Beuys to Düsseldorf, and why St. Joseph is also called Jupp.
