The former Yugoslavia may be one of the biggest mines full of cineastic jewels yet to be discovered. There were various names for the rich experimental cinema that developed there since the 1950s: Antifilm, Alternative Film or Amateur Film. One of the great discoveries is an early Super 8-film by one of the greatest cameramen of Slovenia today, Karpo Godina. Divjad: a lovesick camera and its object of desire.

Once more Yugoslavia. Croatian artist Ladislav Galeta, a pioneer of structural cinema since the 1960s, unfortunately died unexpectedly and way before his time early this year. To him this program is dedicated. He was not only inspiring as an artist, but as an extraordinary contemporary, an alert and critical spirit with lots of good humor.
