Insa Wiese
was born in 1978 in East Frisia and is often called a force of nature by outsiders. As a northern light, she definitely brings a breath of fresh air to the supposedly stuffy Bavaria and whirls like a tornado through the Bavarian festival landscape, whether as Artistic Director of the Short Film Week Regensburg or as a board member of the Association of Bavarian Film Festivals. And when you hear her speak, it quickly becomes clear why she devotes herself to short film instead of feature-length film. You’re welcome to hear about it on her podcast SIMPLY SHORT! She is interested in XR and immersive storytelling and has curated XR exhibitions and short film programs for a virtual cinema as part of the Short Film Week. Since 2020, she has been a panel member for the Short + Innovative section of MOIN Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein. At Start Into Media, she has been taking off as project and partner manager since 2022.
Anne Madlene Schleicher, Mag. Phil,
studied Theater, Film and Media Studies at the University of Vienna and today works in various artistic fields such as film and books. As the initiator of the Schwandorf Documentary Film Festival ZWICKL, she has been leading the annual film festival in the heart of the Upper Palatinate since 2012. She is a member of the Association of Bavarian Film Festivals as well as the Network for Creative and Cultural Industries of the Middle Upper Palatinate.

As a child of the 80s, the then Army Brat consumed just about everything that the matt screen and cinema screens between the good ol’ Oberpfalz and New York had to offer. TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, BACK TO THE FUTURE, THE THREE LORDS and THE GOONIES set the course for her professional life: After a Volo, the scholarship holder went to Berlin to study Film & Theater Studies. Everything was great, but somehow she preferred to spend time in editorial offices and on film locations rather than in the library. Before 1e9, LEAD and W&V, the writer and media consultant wrote for WIRED Germany, among others. Cinema, pop and nerd culture are her favorite topics. Currently, the project manager at Oberpfalz Marketing shows via film and text how crazy great life in the Upper Palatinate can actually be. Quote: “The future is a state of mind.
